Live dangerously, and you live right.

Overcoming what looks like an unsurmountable obstacle should be a constant in your life, not a milestone. This is how greatness is built. So rare in today's world where what seems to have value is comfort, safe spaces, and shortcuts.

How can you see the waves if you are the water?  We see our immediate reality and derive conclusions from it. Our brains have a hard time thinking in large scales: big numbers, large volumes, millions of years, etc. We tend to see our time as the end of times, as a successful end of millions of years of hard work by nature, as a cold beer on a Friday evening after a week of hard work.

My point is this: comfort and safe spaces is not what a man's life has ever been, and this is not what a man's life is today. Human existence has, and will always be a struggle. I enjoy watching wild animal documentaries--a pride of lions trying, for days, to have a successful hunt. Life if tough for lions, life is tough for humans too, no matter if your high school teacher or University Dean tells you differently. That's the way it should be, that's the only way we can live great lives.

It's the yin yang; as old as nature. You struggle, only then you can regain balance. The way to balance a barbell is to place weights on both extremes, not at the center. If life is not throwing difficulties at you, seek them. Don't be a flat line. Goethe: "Live dangerously, and you live right". You have to be a slave to be free.

Building a company from scratch has reaffirmed this: there is no good thing in life without sacrifice, it's impossible. Know this, and the bullshit detector we were all born with will turn on inside of you. You will start giving value to your time. You are a project, make the best out of it.
